Welcome to Happicamp
I am a Creative Director. I help humans make great things for other humans. Happicamp is my full-service creative consultancy.
I collaborate with brands that seek to engage massive audiences across multiple platforms. My passion is the intersection between storytelling and strategy. Once you’ve seen it manifest, it might become your passion, too.
Right now, I’m working with a storied family business in Tennessee making chef-quality cookware, artisans in Chicago who over-engineer handcrafted bags, dreamers in Switzerland who build zero-emission hydrofoil boats, and a visionary non-profit on a mission to accelerate the entire electric marine industry.
Previously, I worked at Vox Media, a digital-first media organization that reaches ~130 million humans every month.
I joined Vox Media as Creative Director at The Verge. I later took on that role across the pre-merger networks, including Polygon, Vox, and Eater. In 2022, I moved to the Brand Licensing Team.
My role with Vox Media was a fusion of the many disciplines I’ve developed over my creative career: illustration, photography, art direction, editorial design, writing (features and taglines), videography, voiceover, and creative strategy.
This toolkit allowed me to become intimate with the execution behind telling vibrant, authentic, visually oriented stories across disparate platforms – like making a flipbook from multiple pictures that morph into a single, living image.
I now do this same work with brands. If you're interested in learning more, you can see a portfolio of my work here, or we can talk.
